REPORT ON CLEANLINESS PROGRAM

Cleanliness is more important when godliness is unlikely. We know a journey of million miles starts with a single step. With this note we the team members of Initiatives of Change realized it to be our responsibility towards the mother earth and took a small initiative by organizing a cleanliness program on 28.07.10 in the premises of Silicon Institute of Technology . It was our first step to make a cleaner India.

Firstly, we had passed this noble message through charts representing cleanliness, humbly appealing for saying no to polythene and requesting for a clean, green and a safe environment. Further we had also placed a few charts that emphasized on demerits of usage of polythene. Furthermore we had also pasted a few messages appealing to save water.
Secondly, it inculcated within us our greatest strength of unity and instilled in us the power of teamwork. We had grouped ourselves into teams and then proceeded to clean the premises. Moreover, many a students joined in this noble deed while we were cleaning the college lawns, classrooms and the hostel premises.

Further, we assembled together in the lawn after completion of the program and vowed to keep the place a better place to live in. The objective of this program was to realize the fact that action speaks louder than words and thus its time for action rather than complaining. Accordingly we planned and successfully executed the cleanliness program with the full-fledged co-operation and support of the team members of Initiatives of Change.
